Ruggedly beautiful, the Pyrenees mountain range creates a remarkable diversity of microclimates. Winemakers rely on the warmth of the day and cool of the night to achieve good ripeness in the fruit, while retaining subtle fruit characters with balance, structure and weight.
The Pyrenees strength lies in it’s full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc also respond beautifully to the region’s soils and climates. Match these wines with some stunning regional produce including lamb, hare, olive oil, smoked eel and trout.
During the day we will visit between 4 and 5 of the regions finest wineries including Blue Pyrenees Estate, Dalwhinnie Wines, Mount Avoca, Peerick Vineyard, Pyren Vineyard, Redbank Winery, Summerfield, Taltarni Vineyards and Warrenmang Vineyard & Resort.
