These two tours will run exclusively for those visiting or staying in the Macedon Ranges, with convenient pickups and returns available in Gisborne, Macedon, Mt. Macedon, Woodend and Kyneton.
Both of these special Macedon Ranges wine tours include admission to NMIT Kyneton Park on Sunday (25 March) for the Macedon Ranges Cup Day races and festivities. These small-group wine tours are limited to only 10 guests per tour.
Tour Details
Saturday, 24th March
A wine tasting at the family-run Chanters Ridge vineyard in Tylden. This winery specialises in Pinot Noir, including a lovely sparking version. After tasting these award-winning wines you can stroll through two acres of lovely gardens.
Lunch will be at the Hanging Rock Picnic Café, situated at the base of iconic Hanging Rock. Enjoy beautiful views of the Reserve while dining on your choice of a main course and dessert, accompanied with a glass of Hanging Rock wine and followed by tea or coffee.
Afterwards we will visit the acclaimed Hanging Rock Winery, the largest winery in Macedon Ranges, which features an array of Estate Grown wines and varietals.
This full-day wine tour is only $105, inclusive of cellar door tasting fees, lunch, and entry tickets to Sunday's Macedon Ranges Cup Day at the Kyneton Race Track.
Sunday, 25th March
Your day begins with a wine tasting in the cellar door of Paramoor Farm, located in the original heritage barn of this former Clydesdale horse farm. Known for its cool climate wines, the range of varietals at Paramoor Farm includes chardonnay, pinot gris/pinot noir, shiraz, pinot noir, merlot, cabernet sauvignon/merlot, shiraz/cabernet sauvignon, and rosé.
From the tasting we will take you directly to NMIT Kyneton Park for the Macedon Ranges Cup races and festivities, which include a wide range of Macedon Ranges food, produce and wines being showcased.
After the races we will return you to your accommodation or transportation in Kyneton, Woodend, Mt. Macedon, Macedon or Gisborne.
The $85 fee for this tour includes your cellar door tasting fee and admission to NMIT Kyneton Park for the Macedon Ranges Cup Day.
